The useful starting point is how you want to make coffee. These ten machines make the differences between grinding, steaming and using capsules easier to see.
This comparison describes Italian-market models. For other countries, check the local model, electrical rating, support and availability; unverified offers are not shown.
The Dedica is 15 cm wide. It takes ground coffee or E.S.E. paper pods, and its steam wand leaves milk frothing to you. Allow space for a separate grinder if you want to start with whole beans.

Choose the routine before the model
These ten machines are examples of different ways to prepare coffee at home. They are not ten winners in a laboratory test. The order is for navigation, and the selection is researched from Italian-market manufacturer pages.
For a manual setup, decide whether you want to use pre-ground coffee, supported paper pods or beans with a grinder. If you want to start from beans, include the grinder in the budget. A portafilter machine without one is an incomplete purchase for that routine.
Bean-to-cup machines move grinding and brewing inside the appliance. Check the milk system separately: a manual frother still asks you to prepare the milk. If you mainly drink espresso, that may be entirely reasonable. If you want two cappuccinos before leaving home, examine the whole sequence.
Compare one workflow at a time
Use the comparison controls to put two or three machines alongside each other. Start with models that serve the same drink and level of involvement. Comparing a capsule machine with a manual setup can clarify a choice of routine, but it cannot prove which makes better coffee.
Our comments interpret the specified equipment. They do not establish drink temperature, noise, extraction consistency, reliability or milk texture in use. Those questions require measurements or hands-on experience that we have not collected.
Some manufacturer claims, including warm-up times, describe one part of preparation. They should not be read as the time needed to grind, prepare, brew, serve and clean up a drink.
Check the purchase you will receive
Match the complete model code, accessories and electrical rating with the selected retailer offer. A family name, colour or product photograph may appear across several versions. For purchases outside Italy, use the appropriate local documentation; selecting the UK or US store does not verify that the Italian version is suitable there.
We do not publish a live price table. Check the current price, delivery, seller and condition on the retailer’s page. If an offer has not been matched to the product and market, we leave it out.
Before paying, read the maintenance checklist and calculate the coffee cost per cup with your own inputs. Save the exact-model manual alongside the order confirmation.
